This photograph was taken early in the morning, just before the sun began to rise. It was a chilly morning, with frost gently covering the ground. As the early morning mist slowly evaporated from the water, it created a beautiful, soft atmosphere that unfolded before my eyes. The presence of the red boat provided an additional focal point, enhancing the overall composition of the picture.

This photograph was captured on a very misty morning at Swanage Old Pier. The thick mist obscured the horizon completely, creating a mysterious atmosphere. To enhance this effect, I chose to use a long exposure, which smoothed out the sea and added a serene quality to the scene. Additionally, I deliberately overexposed the image to achieve a high key effect. Afterward, I processed the shot into a black and white image, which, in my opinion, translates beautifully into a striking print.

I went to take some pictures of the famous Starling murmuration that happens over the winter months in Brighton, East Sussex. When I arrived, a large bank of fog, or sea fret, rolled in and completely blocked out the view. However, as the sun was dipping down below the horizon, a final strip of light appeared. In that fleeting moment, I managed to capture the starlings flying back towards the pier, creating a striking image against the glowing sky.

Taken close to home, I had been carefully monitoring the weather conditions because I wanted to capture the silver birch as its leaves began turning beautiful autumnal colors. I patiently waited for the early morning mist to settle, which I then used creatively to help isolate and soften the background. Choosing to zoom in tightly and apply a square crop, I was able to produce this striking and intimate image of the Twisted Birch, highlighting its unique character and texture.

I had decided that I wanted to try and capture a beautiful pre-dawn shot of Old Harry Rocks, a stunning view I truly love. I arrived early in the morning because I wanted to get in position well before sunrise, allowing myself time to set up and capture the delicate colours just before the sun rose. This photograph was taken on a cold February morning, when the air was crisp and fresh. As the sky gradually began to brighten, it transformed into a soft, lovely pastel hue that added a peaceful atmosphere to the scene. I used a long exposure technique to smooth out the sea, creating a serene and ethereal effect that helped produce this captivating image.

This is the famous Net Loft at Mullion Cove in Cornwall. On this particular morning, the sky was heavy with rain clouds, which I believe adds a beautifully moody and atmospheric feel to the overall image. The overcast weather enhances the timeless character of the scene.
