Savernake Forest

Autumn woodland is such a joy to experience, especially when wandering through the enchanting scenery. This collection of images was taken at the wonderful Savernake Forest, an ancient Beech and Oak Forest that stands proudly on a Cretaceous chalk plateau in Wiltshire. The rich colors and timeless beauty of the forest during this season create a truly captivating atmosphere.

I came across this wonderful Beech tree with the split down its side. Still standing around for everyone to admire.

Silver Birch is wonderful in the autumn so delicate this one draw the eye as it had lost is cover but those either side had kept there colour.
